Ah, the age-old chain maille tie. How wonderful that so many of us had the brilliant idea to put maille and tie in the same sentence. It's really too bad maillers tend not to take the concept too much further than that. Well I did. I wanted something that actually looked like a tie, with tapered sides, a smooth knot, and a polished weave. The experience has left me wondering what else may have been short-changed with a mere obligatory effort, or hasn't even been attempted. Perhaps I should tackle the bow-tie? Cravat? Folded Napkin?
